Awards

Since 2016, ELCAF has been proud to offer the following awards, the winners of which are announced on the last day of the festival:

The ELCAF x WeTransfer Award is a grant that enables artists to see a project come to life. Exhibitors past and present are invited to submit a proposal for a publication they would love to realise but wouldn’t have the means to do so. We offer £3,500 to develop and print a book that will be showcased at ELCAF the following year.

The winner of the 2019 ELCAF x WeTransfer Award was David Biskup for his book There’s Only One Place This Road Ever Ends Up which you can now purchase here.

The Audience Award is our way of getting the ELCAF audience and exhibitors to nominate their favourite new publication at the festival. Each exhibitor puts a new publication up for nomination and the festival audience vote for their favourite throughout the weekend. The winner receives a £200 voucher donated by our partners at Cass Art, as well as the opportunity to exhibit at the Cass Art exhibition space in Islington.

The winner of the 2019 Audience Award was Emmanuelle Walker for Friday Girls, in 2018 the prize went to Samandal for Topia. The winner of the 2017 ELCAF Audience Award was Joe Kessler for Windowpane 4 and the winner in 2016 was Liam Cobb.

Keep an eye out for the #ELCAFAwards. Exhibitors will be highlighting which publication they’re putting forward for nomination closer to the time of the festival.
