We are thrilled to announce the 4th East London Comics and Arts Festival. ELCAF is the annual festival dedicated to showcasing all things related to comics, graphic novels, sequential art, illustration and storytelling based in East London. This year it will span over two days with a full programme of events tto be held across two new venues, The Laundry and SPACE in Hackney.
ELCAF has the pleasure of inviting an internationally celebrated artist to create a unique identity every year. We are extremely honoured to announce Jillian Tamaki as this year’s artist-in-residence. Tamaki is a multi award-winning illustrator; her book This One Summer (written by Mariko Tamaki), was the winner of this year’s Printz Honor and is also the the first graphic novel to receive the Caldecott Honor (2015). We are incredibly excited to welcome such a talented and remarkable artist in joining us to celebrate ELCAF 2015. Tamaki’s exclusive design for the ELCAF 2015 poster is shown here (left), and will be available to purchase during the festival!
