Jean Jullien Tote Bags
Here you go. The ELCAF 2016 tote! We’ll be selling this snazzy number for a mere £5. For those that would rather bag it for free (pun intended), then swing by first thing on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday. We’ll be dishing them out to the first 50 through the doors.

ELCAF 2016
Here’s the official poster illustrated by this year’s artist-in-residence Jean Jullien! We’ll have these freshly printed in time for the festival for everyone to get their hands on. 2016 sees ELCAF celebrate its fifth birthday across three days and three new venues. There’s a exciting roster of international cartoonists, picture book illustrators and digital creators, included in the mix are Adrian Tomine, Joelle Jolivet, Richard McGuire, Dieter Braun, Aardman Animations, Jan Batjlik, Isabel Greenberg and many more. Get booking for all talks and check out the workshops on the events page.
‘I found ELCAF to be a perfect blend of dignified, thoughtful officiation of experimental/literary comics with the sort of high-energy, participatory frisson in which the younger folks like to truck — in short, “fun for the whole family,” and well worth one’s while.’ – Chris Ware, ELCAF artist-in-residence 2014

The ELCAF Award
ELCAF is proud to announce the launch of its very first award. The ELCAF Award enables artists to realise their creative vision by granting £2,000 to support and transform an idea into a printed publication. We’re incredibly excited to be able to support new ideas and create an opportunity to bring to life artist projects that would have otherwise been a struggle to realise. Sponsored by WeTransfer, the award is designed around the concept that ideas improve when they are shared. As such, we will select from submissions by ELCAF’s past or present exhibitors and support the winner to develop and produce their publication, all the while documenting the process for a showcase at next year’s ELCAF in June 2017.
The winner will be selected by a panel of illustrators, curators, and publishers, and announced on Sunday, 12 June at the closing of ELCAF 2016.
Good luck to all exhibitors, past and present!
