Jon McNaught is our ELCAF 2019 Artist in Residence

We’re delighted to announce the brilliant illustrator, comic artist and printmaker Jon McNaught as our ELCAF artist in residence for 2019.

Jon’s style is both intricate and beautiful, as translated within the visuals and identity of ELCAF 2019. His use of Hackney landmarks within the artwork has created a fitting and uniquely East London narrative for the festival this year. Having worked for the likes of Penguin Books, The New York Times and the BBC, Jon is also the Author of Kingdom, Birchfield Close, Pebble Island and Dockwood (Winner of the Angouleme ‘Prix Révélation’ award in 2012).

Jon’s ELCAF 2019 poster will be available in June as a limited edition screen-print.
