Una’s works are gritty explorations of hard-hitting themes that should resonate deeply with anyone who has sense of social justice. Comics critic Andy Oliver has described her publication Becoming Unbecoming as a ‘compelling and powerful exploration of gender violence, misogyny and social responsibility.’ Una will be talking about her latest comic ‘On Sanity’ for the first time with us at ELCAF 2017. Gold medal winner from the Society of Illustrators and winner of the Nuove Strade award for outstanding new talent, Bianca Bagnarelli is a cartoonist from Bologna Italy. She is founder Italian publishing house Delibile and author of Fish, a beautiful short comic exploring the delicacy of grief in adolescents. Writer, script-writer, founder of Donkey Stone Films, author of Dead Men’s Teeth and A Castle in England (Nobrow Press, 2017). Jamie Rhodes spent four months living at Scotney Castle, working with archivists and National Trust historians to uncover the castle’s secrets and produce his latest publication with Nobrow which saw an incredible collaboration between 5 cartoonists. Jamie will be joined by two of the contributing artists Becky Palmer and Isabel Greenberg.
